For the most part every country buffet is exactly the same, nothing special. But this one has something i have never seen in any other CB, pork carnitas. They are all meat, great flavor and just plain delicious. If all their food was this good, CB would be 5 star. But alas, it is not, so they are not.

Absolutely HATE the entree in single serve dish idea ! Obviously I'm not alone because when you are forced to take one to try something the item is cold old and stale from sitting.Taco bar passes.Salad bar too. Selection is just too thin and there is no theme or feng shui to what is offered. Baked potatoes so hard you can not cut with a steak knife. To add insult Steak is no longer offered from the grill.!?? I mean cheap sirloin yes,but you could count on it being hot and if you got lucky and avoided a grisly piece it was actually pretty good. Food temperature is a MAJOR CONCERN also.Everything is just luke warm or cold.I had been here 5 times in a 2 month span and the ICEE machine has not worked 1 single time. Don't advertise it charge me $2.50 for it and have 1 excuse after another why this time it is down.I liked the location we had in my old hometown. All foods were individual in a large metal dish sitting on a steam tray and you dipped or took what you wanted.Dishes were always hot on the steam tray versus the open air attempt at this locale.Steak was the final straw for me here ! Haven't been back in 2 months and won't be back without this place doing many changes to include steak again.

This is a hit. The restaurant had a good variety of foods from main courses, salads and desserts. One person Debbie stood out. she was helpful and cheerful and made us feel like we were welcome there. Please give this restaurant a try.

Only redeeming thing about this place anymore is the salad bar. Used to be great, been going for years. The revamping pretty lousy all around. They are always short handed. You have to keep asking for them to replace the empty items, that is if you can find an employee. I blame management, they need to have more people on staff. We usually would go around 4:45 - 5:15 to beat the dinner rush and they still had empty trays. Went last week to give them another try, we are done. We went and got our glass salad bar plates (again, only redeeming thing). I noticed the plate was chipped. Of course, we checked before taking any others. Went through a total of 6 plates before finding 3. Took to manager and pointed this out. Grabbed them from me and walked away. He didn't even go check any of the others, actually looked annoyed. Like I stated, it was just around 5pm. One thing that really stood out was the brown gravy. It was actually coagulated, no one was touching it, must have been left over from lunch. Another thing was the supposed roast beef at the carving window. It was this small leftover piece of meat that looked like the shoe leather. The carver could barely get through it when someone asked. The man just said 'never mind' and walked away. I think they were better before the remodel, had more variety, especially the dessert bar. Used to love it, prices went up and quality went way down. Way too expensive to just go for the salad bar. I suppose if we ever do decide to go for the salad bar we had better bring our own plates so that we don't have to do an inspection to make sure the salad bar plates aren't chipped.

I went there for the first time because we got a coupon in the mailer. I walked in expecting a 2nd Golden Corral, but was surprised to find it's quite different. Overall, it feels much more personal, which has both an up and down side. On the good side, the food is obviously prepared with care, and they have lots of good comfort foods that you're used to. Also there is a great drink and dessert selection. On the other side, it's much smaller than the Corral, so the food selection is probably only about 2/3. Drinks and dessert and included in the price (about $12 for adult dinner). I'm very satisfied with the place and I've never left disappointed. It just feels like a very friendly and down-to-earth atmosphere where you're always fed like family :)

Every time I have been here the food always seems to look good and fresh and tastes pretty good. With all buffets though you feel like you have to get your money's worth for entry if not more and so sometimes you gorge yourself which is not good. Of course if you eat like a bird then you are not getting your money's worth so that is something you have to look out for. This place is great if you are pretty hungry or going in a group.

We went here for breakfast. It was pretty good for a breakfast buffet. The bread seemed dried out and the eggs rubbery. But for eight dollars a person, the selections weren't bad. The fresh pineapple and country fried steak were especially good. The pineapple was fresh and the country fried steak was steaming. I would avoid the omelet bar as they don't mix in the ingredients, its more like an egg taco.

My wife and I were in the mood for a buffet, so we stopped here around 5:30PM this evening. The place was quite busy with it being supper time. To start with, $12 a person for a buffet is high, but sometimes the food is worth it. That was not the case tonight. Most of the food I ate was stale and cold, and whatever wasn't stale really had no flavor to it. There were lots of senior citizens there, maybe they are trying to cater to them with flat tasting food. To make it even worse, a couple parents were letting their kids run around and play tag throughout the restaurant, touch all of the clean plates and God only knows what food on the buffet. I swear, some people shouldn't be allowed to reproduce. We left here with a very unpleasant experience, and the wife and I both had stomach aches. We ate very little, so it wasn't from over-eating either. I had a bad experience 3 years ago at the Country Buffet in Cheyenne, and decided to finally give them a second chance at this restaurant to be disappointed again. I am done with this nasty chain.

I'm not a huge fan of buffet style restaurants to begin with, but this is a good place to take kids every now and then (lots of choices so everyone should be able to find something they like).

This was the worst buffet I have ever been to. Being from the South, I know my way around a buffet so I don't think my expectations were too high. There were very few choices for meat and the items that were out looked very unappealing. The sides were all dried out from sitting under the lights too long and to top it all off there was a hair in my dessert. Yuck!!! There are so many healthy and delicious restaurants in Fort Collins, I will not settle for this mess.

Worst experience ever at a buffet restaurant last night in this place. First, during the dinner rush they have almost no main entrée items out? There were lots of people searching for anything to eat and then they finally bring out 5 or 6 of the individual entrees which disappear instantly with 20 people waiting. After I had a salad they were totally out of dinner plates for at least 10 minutes or more and people started getting restless and no manager was any where in sight. Our host who took forever to finally come to our table mentioned salmon was the special but when we asked for some the girl had no clue and said they were out? Here is a list of other problems we experienced/observed: 1) Fried chicken looked simply awful on this night 2) They never had any steaks out the entire time we were there. 3) I was served the worst piece of ham by the server ever and she didn't seem to care. 4) The manager walked up to our table and asked how it was and before we could respond quickly left when she saw the looks on our faces. 5) The kept putting out cheese pizzas and I asked why no pepperoni did they run out? 6) Taco bar was a disaster, the grill cook tried to warm the flour tortillas and she ended up burning them. 7) Ran out of white gravy for the mashed potatoes and never refilled it. 8) Drink machine was mixing drinks wrong and mine tasted awful. 9) Deserts looked unappealing, boring, and lame. 10) The place was very messy and seemed understaffed. 11) Employees acted like they really didn't care and were just going through the motions by being there. We will never return here again. Horrible in every aspect inside. Don't waste your money in here go some place else and you will be much happier.

I'm sorry but I have to agree with Joan S. from the 11/24 review. When we went, the ice cream machine was broken, chocolate milk machine broken, salad bar much worse than it used to be. Also, don't like the individual servings of food. It sits there and dries out and looks horrible. Don't like being forced to get a whole serving of something when all I want is a taste - got the bread pudding and could only eat half - what a waste of food. Used to love Country Buffet - not anymore.

Food was fresh and selection was great! Would recommend to anyone. They grilled a steak to order and it was just the way I like it. The owner was working hard to please his guests and did a good job!!!

The food wasn't very stellar but the manager was very helpful, and welcoming. My boyfriend and I had never been there and she made it a point to let us know where everything was at and all the food that was being served was. Service with a smile!

First off let me say it cost almost $18.00 a person ( including drinks that they charge $2.49 pp for) Ate there today and actually got our money back. First off we went in around 5pm on a Sunday and it was almost empty. Yet when you went to get food there was none. No pizza no pasta nothing!! The few things the did have weren't labeled so you didn't even know what the where so I grabbed some mac and cheese figuring the would have more food out any minute and they never did what food i did have was room temp. so i don't think the warming tables where on and some of the food look like it had been sitting for a long time. They had a bowl for spaghetti noodles and what little was in there was either uncook or had dried out. Save you money and go somewhere else.

This has to be the worst restaurant buffet I have ever eaten at this is my third time just giving it a three try and everything is so greasy salty on the cooks I'm surprised people are dropping dead from there. They open up at 11 AM yet they serve breakfast then as soon as you turn around lunch is being served, it's just horrible. I asked the lady and make me a Spanish omelette she didn't know what it was and the grill was so filthy and greasy. I told her not to make it too greasy she said "well if I don't put oil in it the eggs will stick ", so she scraped off some oil and sprayed Pam on the grill. I would never eat here again and I suggest anyone who cares about their health not eat here either.

About two years ago when my family first went here it wasn't too bad (for the money). We went here again about two months ago and my wife and I looked at each other and said "never again". Everything we ate was bad. The food looked good but had no flavor. Just bland food. It's a hard business model because they have to use the cheapest food they can to be profitable, then it tastes bad then people don't come back. The workers there have always been pleasant. I wish they would raise their prices and put good food out.

Sorry to say this place has been sliding downward faster and faster over the last several months and here's why: 1. Lack of maintenance on equipment. No, its not OK to leave one of the ice cream machines broken for weeks. If you don't plan to fix it, get rid of it. Leaving it abandoned in place makes it look like the manager doesn't care 2. No more steaks? Sure, food costs are going up - no debate. But don't take away the steaks and then try to pass off chopped sirloin and greasy beef tips as an improvement. Just be honest with your customers - "We discontinued steaks because of rising costs." You are mistaken thinking that your customer's aren't in touch with reality. 3. Loading up the bars with rice, beans, and potatoes everywhere you turn. We all know these are great fillers, last a long time on steam table without needing turnover, and are dirt cheap to serve. Reality: You charge over $15 for the dinner buffet + a drink 4. You get busy, so the manager starts telling the kitchen to quit putting out the higher end buffet components. On a recent busy Friday night I stopped in after a marathon work day. I actually heard the proprietor tell the line manager to "stop putting out baked fish" and to "put out an extra fried fish." Reality: do you really think someone wanting the baked fish is going to go for those fake fish stick things? 5. You don't have to keep refilling the salad bar if things stay at least half full because the cold table froze the containers. Keeps the bar looking stocked because no one can actually get the tomatoes out of the tub. 6. Hospitality staff gripes and complains to each other about how miserable work is. Go figure - all your customers work too and hate management, so don't bring that to your customer's dinner table.

Wow, I can't believe how Country Buffet treated my family after my mother fell in front of their place where the sidewalk is raised. My mother tripped from the raised sidewalk as she left country buffet. Being older, she didn't realize that in order for them to do the right thing, she had to immediately tell them so they went home. This was last Friday. Saturday, I got a call from my father telling me what happened and telling me he was brushed off when he called CB to let the m know she had fallen. Needless to say, I went in and asked to speak with the manager. I explained what happened and showed him where she fell and asked for the name of the Property Manager and asked for an accident report. After waiting 1/2 an hour, the Manager came back and asked if they had proof they were there. I said yes. He quickly said, well, we aren't liable because they didn't report it right away. Really? Then why did you ask if they had proof? He not only refused to give me the name of the property manager, but refused to give me the regional manager's name and told me that they don't have accident reports. Do they think I'm stupid? Obviously. My mother has a hand that is completely black and blue, swollen knees, scraped chin, swollen foot. But do you think that once, just once, the manager asked if she was hurt? No. He never asked if my mother was hurt. Unbelievable. I understand this is a litigious society and businesses have to protect themselves from frivolous lawsuits. All may parents wanted was to have the property manager be aware of the problem with the sidewalk and have the property manager (not CB) do the right thing and help cover her x-rays and help pay for medical bills should she not improve. I am disgusted at how uncooperative CB was. My parents would eat there a couple times a week. I hope you read this and choose to take your money somewhere that cares about their customers because CB sure didn't care about my mother.
